Vitense Golfland Offers FREE Youth Platform Tennis Lessons

Platform Tennis at Vitense GolflandDo you know we have Platform Tennis in Madison? Have you tried it yet?

It’s a mini-tennis court, but it’s usually played in the winter (our location is open year round). The enclosed court is 1/3 the size of a normal tennis court, and it’s on an elevated platform that has heaters underneath to melt the Wisconsin snow and ice.

I saw the Platform Tennis courts when I lived in Illinois, and it looks really fun! I’m not sure how good it would be for my tennis game, but I’d love to give it a shot.

Here’s the good news: Vitense Golfland is offering FREE youth (ages 10-17) platform tennis lessons this fall (October, November, & December). Vitense received a grant from the Madison Area Sports Commission which is why these lessons are being offered for free.

The lessons are taught by Daniel Bickett who is a certified PPTA Instructor and the Director of Platform Tennis.

Head to the Vitense Golfland website to learn more about the sport and to take advantage of the free lessons!
