Candlelight Ski, Hike & Snowshoe at State Parks

Wisconsin State Parks are once again hosting Candlelight Ski, Hikes and Snowshoe events at select parks.

Important things to remember.

  • Most events are free of charge but you will need a vehicle admission sticker (daily price is $7, otherwise a yearly pass is $25).
  • Weather conditions may delay/cancel the event.  Please check the park to confirm the activities are still being held.

Saturday, January 12th:

Lake Kegonsa State Park, Stoughton, 608-873-9695

  • Candlelight Ski.  6-9 p.m.

Saturday, January 19th:

Governor Dodge State Park, Dodgeville, 608-935-2315

  • 14th Annual Candlelight Ski. Ski, hike or snowshoe a trail.  Snacks and hot beverages will be available for sale. 6-9 p.m.

Saturday, February 2nd:

Blue Mound State Park, Blue Mounds, 608-437-5711

  • Candlelight Ski, Hike, and Snowshoe. Separate candlelit trail for hikers, snowshoers, and leashed pets. Guided hikes through the illuminated woods with Naturalist Al Swain will be held at 7 and 8 p.m. Program runs 6-9 p.m.

Mirror Lake State Park, Lake Delton, 608-254-2333

  • Candlelight Ski, Hike and Snowshoe. Trails for skiers, hikers and snowshoers. Food and beverages for sale.  Meet at the Mirror Lake Winter Recreation Area (beach picnic area) from 6-8 p.m.
