“Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” Coming to Madison

Green Bay PackersThe “Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” will be in Madison on May 16, 2012! The tour has five Wisconsin stops starting on May 15: La Crosse, Madison, Kenosha, Cedarburg/Grafton, and Sturgeon Bay.

Each party is supporting a local non-profit organization. Madison’s party will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Tailgate admission tickets are $30, and the event is being held at the Alliant Energy Center from 6-8:30 p.m.

At the party, you will enjoy tailgating food, giveaways, and question and answer sessions. Celebrity guests include Charlie Peprah, Jordy Nelson, Mason Crosby, and Mark Murphy (Packers President/CEO). Also on hand will be Hall of Famers William Henderson, Larry McCarren, and Marco Rivera.

You can also purchase General Admission tickets for $5. These tickets include the question and answer sessions and the tailgate party activities. You will have to pay for food and drink.

2012 Business Women's ExpoThe Business Women’s Expo is a great event with networking, seminars, and exhibits for professional women, female business owners, and those interested in doing business within this target market.

The Expo is Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There are 13 professional development seminars including topics such as “Leap Into Your Dreams – Now!” and “Everything You Wanted to Know About Blogging.” Other topics include “How to Get the Most Out of Your SmartPhone” and “Cloud Computing & Mobility.” A special feature will be a “board break” seminar: “Breaking Through Barriers – Figuratively & Literally” with Cay Villars of Celebrus Consulting.

2012 Zor Shrine CircusThe Biggest Show in Town is comin’ to Madison! The ZOR Shrine Circus will be at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19, 2012.

General admission tickets are $16, and reserved seats are $20. Admission is free for children under one.

There’s a free general admission Children’s Pass (children 12 years and younger) in this month’s Valpak mailer ($16 value).

Be sure you print the coupon in the link above to get a free admission.

Madison Food & Wine ShowMadison Magazine is hosting their annual Madison Food & Wine Show. Head to the Alliant Energy Center October 21-23, 2011 to experience the “ultimate gourmet tasting experience.”

Enjoy wine, cheese, beer, and various food samples from Wisconsin. This year, there are 150 exhibitors, 15 demonstrations and classes, 7 rounds of competitions, and over 300 wine varieties.

Each guest will receive a wine glass and market bag upon entering the show. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to win prizes.

Speaking of winning, I won tickets to the show from Madison Magazine! I am beyond excited to attend the show. I am planning to check out at least two classes: “How to Host a Wine Party” and “Beer & Chocolate Pairing.” Head to Madison Magazine to see the schedule of events (there is an extra charge for select events).

Spring is in the air! Have you started spring cleaning yet? There’s a great opportunity for women to sell their gently worn clothes: the Combine & Consign 3-day event.

Combine & Consign,Inc. is looking for consignors and shoppers to be a part of their women’s re-sale event on April 7-9 at the Alliant Energy Center.

Merchandise collection is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check out their website for more information about selling your items.

The sale will include thousands of items including women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. This sale is for all shapes and sizes.

The sale hours are the following:

  • Thursday, April 7 – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, April 8 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 9 – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To shop the sale, there is a $3 entry fee and parking is free.
