Winter Restaurant Week is almost upon us and I can’t wait! If you’ve never heard of Madison Magazine’s Restaurant Week let me tell you about it. During the week of January 23-28, 2011 select restaurants offer a fabulous dinner for $25 and some restaurants offer a lunch version for $15.

Participating restaurants offer a fixed-price menu with three courses and three selections within each course. Tickets are not needed to attend Restaurant Week and reservations are strongly encouraged.

There are 35 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week this winter.  For a complete list of participating restaurants including Restaurant Week menus, visit our page: Madison Magazine’s Restaurant Week 2011.

I have picked a couple of my favorites from the list that I am going to try to visit during Restaurant Week this year…

Samba Brazilian Grill
240 W. Gilman Street
Restaurant Week Menu

If you’re looking for a unique experience, make reservations for Samba. My husband and I, along with friends, enjoyed the Samba experience during restaurant week last year. For $25 you will be able to enjoy the salad and appetizer buffet and meats from the rodizio service. The gauchos will stop by your table (until you say when) with up to eight different spits of roasted meat. Insider tip: save room for the grilled pineapple!

Liliana’s Restaurant
2951 Triverton Pike, Fitchburg
Restaurant Week Menu

Take a trip to Liliana’s and soon you’ll feel as though you’re in the French Quarter in New Orleans.  The cuisine includes organic and local produce and meats and is flavored with Creole and Cajun flair. Live music is available most nights. Liliana’s is offering a lunch and dinner option.

Daisy Cafe & Cupcakery
2827 Atwood Avenue
Restaurant Week Menu

Daisy Cafe & Cupcakery has a real sense of community. You walk in and feel like you’re among friends. As the name suggests, Daisy Cafe is known for their delicious cupcakes. If you haven’t yet, take this opportunity to have dinner with your friends.

Do you plan on going to Restaurant Week this year?  What restaurants have you tried and which ones would you recommend?  Leave a comment and let me and other readers know!
